POSITION OVERVIEW:
Lake Area Technical College (LATC) is seeking a highly organized, service-oriented, and detail-focused Office Assistant to support academic programs and contribute to the success of students, faculty, and staff. This position provides administrative and operational support across assigned academic departments, helping ensure efficient daily operations and exceptional customer service.
The ideal candidate will be proactive, adaptable, and comfortable managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced educational environment. This individual will serve as a key point of contact for students, faculty, and external partners while assisting with scheduling, communications, records management, purchasing, event coordination, and general office support for programs of study.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Administrative support, office management, or customer service experience.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint) and general office technology.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information professionally.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
- Experience working in higher education, academic support, healthcare, or a fast-paced professional office environment a plus.
- Familiarity with student information systems or database management software.
- Experience coordinating schedules, records, or compliance-related documentation.

REPORTS TO: Assigned academic leadership, which may include a Dean, Department Supervisor, Center Director, Vice President, or other designated administrator.
PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES:
WAGE RANGE: $2,755.00/month - $16.25/hour
TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT: 12-month contract with compensation set by the Watertown School Board. |
