POSITION OVERVIEW:
The General Education Instructor for Leadership in the Global Workforce is responsible for delivering instruction and developing curriculum for courses specifically focusing on leadership skills relevant to the global workforce. The instructor will work collaboratively with other faculty members to ensure effective teaching and learning experiences both on-campus and online.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Associates degree required; Bachelor’s a plus. Please attach transcript to application.
- Prior teaching experience in a relevant field and curriculum development experience
preferred.
- Strong classroom management skills and ability to differentiate instruction.
- Flexibility in course assignments.
- Proficient in the use of learning management systems and Microsoft programs.
- Excellent interpersonal skills with a commitment to student success in a team
environment.
- Bilingual proficiency is a plus.
REPORTS TO: General Education Department Supervisor, Dean of Academics, Vice President
PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Conduct classroom instruction for courses in Leadership in the Global Workplace or
related subjects, acting as the lead instructor for curriculum development and instruction.
- Develop innovative curriculum utilizing technology to enhance student learning
experiences.
- Teach assigned courses both on-campus and online, utilizing the learning management
system to deliver course materials.
- Collaborate with fellow faculty members to maintain an effective teaching team and
contribute to the general education instructor team.
- Modify curriculum as necessary to ensure relevance and engagement for students across
various programs.
- Maintain accurate documentation related to curriculum development, student progress,
and instructional materials.
- Participate in institutional and departmental meetings, professional development
opportunities, and other activities as required.
- Support student success through advising, mentoring, and providing additional academic
assistance as needed.
- Stay current with trends and developments in leadership theory and global workforce
dynamics to inform curriculum design and instructional practices.
- Flexibility to instruct additional LATC classes if needed.
SALARY RANGE: $45,563.00 - $70,484.00
TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT
180-day contract. Position starts August 2025. Salary and benefits set by Watertown Board of
Education in accordance with the state post-secondary salary formula.
