POSITION OVERVIEW: Lake Area Technical College is seeking a creative and dynamic Marketing Specialist to support its academic, student support, and administrative teams. This role will enhance the college’s visibility and engagement with prospective students, alumni, and the broader community through both traditional and digital marketing strategies.

 

Qualifications:

• Associate degree in marketing, communications, or related field (Bachelor’s preferred).
• 3+ years of marketing or communications experience.
• Portfolio showcasing writing, design, and digital marketing work preferred.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficiency in graphic design software (Adobe Creative Suite or similar).
• Experience with website maintenance and content management systems (CMS).
• Proven ability to plan, execute, and evaluate digital marketing campaigns.
• Familiarity with digital marketing tools (Google Analytics, social media ads, email marketing).
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

 

PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Write and produce content for print, web, and social media (e.g., feature stories, press releases, promotional materials, etc.).
• Design marketing materials (brochures, posters, social media posts, email campaigns).
• Update and optimize content on the Lake Area Tech website.
• Plan and execute email campaigns, online ads, and SEO strategies.
• Develop social media posts (Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, etc.) and campaigns to engage prospective students, alumni, and the community.
• Assist with marketing for on-campus and off-campus events like open houses and career fairs.
