TITLE: Future Classified Position (Full-Time, Part-Time / Seasonal)
POSITION OVERVIEW:
Lake Area Technical College maintains a pool of individuals interested in future classified employment opportunities that may become available on a full-time, part-time or temporary basis. These positions support the daily operations of the college and may include administrative support, technical assistance, student services support, facilities assistance, or other operational roles as needed.
Individuals selected from this pool may be assigned duties based on institutional needs. Specific responsibilities, schedules, and expectations will be determined at the time of hire and will vary depending on the department and position.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred; additional education or specialized training may be required depending on the position.
- Ability to communicate effectively and work collaboratively with students, faculty, staff, and the public.
- Demonstrated reliability, professionalism, and strong work ethic.
- Strong attendance record with the ability to consistently report to work on time and maintain dependable availability as scheduled.
- Basic computer and organizational skills may be required depending on the role.
- Ability to follow instructions, complete assigned tasks independently, and contribute positively to a team environment.
- Additional qualifications, certifications, or experience may be required depending on the specific assignment.
REPORTS TO:
Assigned Supervisor or Department Supervisor
PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Perform duties and responsibilities as assigned by the supervising administrator or department head.
- Maintain reliable attendance and punctuality to support the operational needs of the department.
- Provide support to departmental operations, programs, events, or services as needed.
- Maintain professionalism and confidentiality when working with student, employee, or institutional information.
- Follow college policies, procedures, and safety guidelines.
- Communicate effectively with supervisors and team members regarding work progress and needs.
- Assist with special projects or operational tasks that support the mission of the college.
- Maintain a positive and respectful environment for students, employees, and visitors.
- Other duties as assigned based on the needs of the department and the nature of the position.
TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT:
Employment can be full-time, part-time, or seasonal and may vary in duration depending on institutional needs. Work schedules, hours, and compensation will be determined at the time of hire. Employment is subject to policies and procedures established by Lake Area Technical College and the Watertown School Board.
